Art in Action
The Art Team is a community of parents that help lead, prep, and clean up after the art lessons from Art in Action.
Available to K-5 and STEAM Middle School Classes, the core Art in Action curriculum is based on masterpieces by the great artists.
Parent volunteers and teachers team up to help students study each masterpiece in a guided discussion, learning about the artist, the style, and the principles of art. Students then create their original art, reinforcing the concepts and techniques learned from the lesson.
The program is aligned with California and National Visual Arts Standards and integrates with other elements of the core curriculum.
